So.... on the way to California we got to meet a Chickberry and her husband.... Robbye and Wayne had been in California at a convention and they were driving back to Phoenix early so we had to hook up on the interstate in Buckeye.... it was a quick meeting but comfortable and nice ... just like we had known them forever.....
... and then farther on we saw where the big fires are burning in the mountains of California.... this is one of the beautiful smoke clouds.... hard to believe something so destructive can look so gorgeous....
